Twin City Photos

Walking around a swamp in the country side I ran across this rather large tree fungus. There is still ice in some places up there (that being north of the Twin Cities area), yet several mosquitos were found spotting themselves on peoples cheeks. In a couple of weeks this swamp will be ceded to the unofficial Minnesota state bird, the mosquito, and no one will venture back there until the first hard freeze.

As an avid skywatcher, I found this setting unusual in that there was a setting sun behind me, ominous looking clouds in front, but no wind, rain, lightning, or thunder. In fact it was quite serene, almost a bit eerie.
