Driveby Dining

Pulled over for a quick 2 hour dinner?
My trip to Italy (and Germany) was quite interesting, not work wise (everything went pretty much as expected). Getting lost for hours on the way back from the job site to the hotel despite GPS, being misled by the GPS into a pretty hairy situation, last minute detour through Munich on the way back to meet with a potential customer, loosing not only my rental car but also my sister in Mainz causing me to miss my flight to Amsterdam, unscheduled landing in Maine because of medical emergency, and finally not being able to watch the last 10 minutes of the X-Files movie because the plane started the landing process. There would have been plenty of time to watch the whole movie if they wouldn’t have had to reset the on board entertainment system multiple times. It had gotten confused by the unscheduled landing and must have thought we were on our way to India, insisting on playing one of those Bollywood Hindi movies (ever seen one of those?).
I wasn’t able to get nearly the amount of photos I’d hope to. I’ll put up the ones I did get over the next couple of weeks. Glad to be back except I do miss the food from the old country.
Switchback Housing In Naples
by snapshutter on Jul.10, 2008, under Travel
I finally found at least some of my pictures, requested by a fellow blogger from the Netherlands, taken on a business trip to Naples, Italy. In Italy you don’t have to go far to find interesting scenes. This one was taken from my hotel room window. Note how the arches under the switchback road have been turned into housing. Must be noisy.
Good possibility I’m going back for a few days in the near future. This time I’ll spent more time looking around.
