Or Bayerische Staatskanzlei in German. Walking around after dinner on a recent trip to Germany, I found this historic building at the end of the Hofgarten on Ludwigstrasse in Munich.

That’s what the speedometer in this Ferrari went up to. Now most cars will never quite make the posted top speed unless they’re going downhill with a tailwind, but they get pretty close. So how fast is 320 km/hr? About 200 mph. That’s about 60 mph faster than I’ve gone on the Autobahn. You really need to pay attention to the road at those speeds, and be sure your brakes are in top notch condition

Taken a while back in Munich at the Hauptbahnhof.

The street musicians in Munich always impress me. Most of them are very good entertainers, and the quality of their music is top notch. This guy was no exception. I suspect he had a fair amount of classical training on the violin judging by how well he played the fiddle. He was also very funny. For some reason he looked familiar.

Just got back from Munich again, after spending two weeks there, one of them courtesy of the Iceland volcano. This train stop is across from the Olympic stadium. No doubt once a very busy place, it is now abandoned. I had driven past this point many times on the adjacent freeway on previous trips to Munich, and had been wanting to get some shots, but couldn’t find a way to easily get there. This time I was determined to get some photos. Not easy. I spent several hours on different occasions driving around the area, getting no where near it. This time despite a major tangle of freeway ramps behind the shot, and businesses, a school, and construction sites in front, I finally found my way there.

Bavaria has quite a few churches and monasteries scattered throughout the country side. I spotted this chapel on the outskirts of a small town, and had to pull over for a few shots. For other Monochrome Weekly photos check here.
