Guiding Lights

ligthbeams

Let’s see, first I called it Light Beams, then Herring Lights, and finally Guiding Lights. What comes to your mind when you first look at it, and after second and third thought?

Taken a while back while on a business trip in Cincinnati. From what I recall this leads into the Pillsbury building.

On another note, we hit 90 degrees today! Guess my prediction of 2 weeks of spring followed by summer was correct, though for Minnesota that’s a slam dunk. Trotting around in -30 wind chills seems like such a distant memory. Memorial day just around the corner, as is the first trip up to our camper. I am so ready for a break. This year I’m going to make the most of it, photographically speaking. A few hours north of our camper some truly spectacular scenery exists, just have to make the drive from base camp. Tag you’re it :)

Crowded Hosta

crowded

Just a week ago these leaves were still curled up like little tubes, now they’ve opened up, all vying for space. Not to worry, there’s plenty of room for all of you. Soon they’ll all be spread out each claiming it’s bit space in cooperation with its neighbors.

Curls And Tubes

leaves3 Spring has really arrived. There’s an explosion of green all around us, and we’re starting to have humid days. I’m looking forward to warm muggy evenings.

Breakfast At The Farmers Market

brats1 The farmers market down by Lyndale and Hennepin is on for the season. Held Saturdays and Sundays, you can get fresh vegetables, fruits, and plants. Right now much of it still comes out of crates from out of the country, but soon much of it will have originated in the US, and locally.

There’s also a variety of treats available, ranging from organic Espresso to brats. Brats for breakfast, loaded with peppers and onions! I doesn’t get any better than that. Just make sure you don’t end up with mustard on your camera’s control buttons like I did. It’s a hassle to clean off.
