I like the clouds. I often do not have good results when I shoot into the sun. Yours is good.

Great composition with the light through the sail of the windsurfer as well as the thrown up spray. An enjoyable picture.

It's a great shot as is (apart, maybe, from the blown highlights in the sea on the left had side). The sky is spot on, composition is great and the action and wake wave and spray gives luvverly interest.
When you've got a dynamic range in the scene that is wider than can be captured by the camera as a jpeg, shoot in RAW.

You can then make one exposure from the RAW file set correctly for the highlights and one from the same RAW file, set right for the midtones / shadows. Then combine in Photoshop / equivalent.

Or, as twinceyphoto says, go the full hog and play with HDR software like Dynamic Photo HDR or Photomatix.

You can get great results shooting into the sun, without blown highlights, using the above suggestions. It's what I do and I've had modest success...

Or can this granny already suck eggs? hehe!

Very nice shot and I agree there is a limit to what the camera can pickup but this is a very lovely picture and I don't miss what I don't know I can't see.

Well you shouldn't shoot into the sun. Bad for the lens and the eyes. On the otherhand if you attach a hood you can get some great shots. Or if you are an idiot like me just go for it. It's a beautifully composed image.
