Train Graffiti
Cleaned up my blog a bit, got rid of the top header links that probably nobody ever clicks on, and expanded ‘About’ section. Also cleaned up links a bit, eliminating blog that hasn’t had an update for over 4 months, and added a few new links plus re-activated some old ones.
This photo was taken at the train tracks that run through Dinky Town, near the U of M campus.

I came looking for the momochrome photo and found this stunning photo. I love this, the lighting, the angle, everything is great about it.

nice shot. seems ominous. use a flash for this, I think? That little piece of dark sky adds a lot.

Nice atmosphere to this one! Was it done in postproduction or on site?

So many great photos I find here. I love this one of the train. And the monochome one with the flowers still in colour. A really nice visit.
Have a nice week.

SOO that’s what you look like. Nice piece in the section from one TUX to another.

Mike, no flash. That front corner just happened to be in bright sunlight, and was brought out even more during post processing.
Jessica, as I said it was post processing. The HDR brought out the already brighter area even more.

LOL Neil, nice pun. Someone accused me of looking like a hit man in that photo. Linus is one of my heroes, as are many others in the open source community. The guy who wrote one of the first router/firewall/NAT apps also comes to mind. That’s what got me started on Linux, looking for a internet sharing app. Still saddened by his last post about his work finding it’s way into many network gadgets we now take for granted, without him getting any serious compensation or recognition.
