End Of The Line

oldtrack

I drive past this abandoned rail road track every day and have stopped several times to take some photos. I’m still looking for a particular rendition of this setting, which this is not. But I like this one for the time being, using a flash to accentuate the stop sign and underexpose the surroundings.

in answer to your question, the majority of the pubs and bars stay open till about 1am nowadays…so if you get yourself to London you can have a good night out in the pubs!!

I always find shots like this provocative.

I find the perception of a photograph with discernible words to be an interesting area for contemplation. The meaning of the photo can always be separated from its photographic attributes. But is there any symbiosis?

Well, that couldn’t be any more clearer than that :D
Love the red/green color pallet of the photo, very nicely spotted!

I love this, and I understand your fascination … I took a series of shots over a year of this tree I stand facing mornings waiting for the bus ….

    Thanks for visiting my blog!!

That’s such a meaningful scenery. In fact, I mean one can imagine here so many meanings. For me, this is one of the most important things a photo can offer us, something not always clear but that helps to build our imaginary (secret) landscape.

This is great! A stop sign at the end of the railroad! :-)

    Answering to your question:
    - behind that door are the terrains belonging now to the National Institute of Agrarian Research. In the 18th century it was the farm of the 1st Count of Oeiras, whose palace is close by.

That is very cool. The sign really stands out! Also the strangeness of the sign at the end of a railroad track.

Lovely bold red in all that green. Composition is good also. Nice one.
