Germ Phone

Dec.05, 2008

Remember the days before we had cell phones? I’ve used public phones a few times, always with the fear that I might accidentally touch the mouth piece with my lips, though fact is that germs are more likely passed by holding the phone then the touching the mouth piece. Still … thank god for cell phones.

Still waiting for that Master Card bill to see if I can figure out why I got charged $64 for a 30 second call from a public phone at the Munich airport to a customer in Munich using my credit (I was out of Euro coins). My credit card’s ‘fraud detection center’ alerted me to this once I got home. They actually seem to have their act together.

I know what you mean! That phone looks like you could really catch something that modern medicine hasn’t found a cure for yet.

This is an amazing shot. Great ambience and I love the color on the wall. Looks totally sketchy as far as actual use, but pay phones remind me of calling my mother from my local high school to come pick me up.

I’d forgotten about such things. How spoiled we are these days. You’ve really captured the grottiness of an old pay phone.
