Twin City Photos

Symmetry

Sep.27, 2008

I’ve attempted this shot in the past and wasn’t happy with the results, but this time I got something I’m OK with. Lighting is still a bit uneven, but not so much as in past shots. Also this is in fact an HDR image compiled from several exposures. At least I think it is. I’m still learning, well more like fumbling, my way through this software, and I can’t quite tell whether it actually worked. For some very nice HDR photos check Gbenz’ssite.

The place itself is quite impressive, especially the acoustics. Even the slightest sound seems to reverberate for a long time. I don’t think you would hear a pin drop from a distance, but its pretty close to that. Understandable since all that rock just bounces sounds off with no adsorption. I once heard that during studio recordings the drummer of Genesis was playing in a granite lined room to add sharpness to the sound of the drums, but I can’t find anything on google to confirm.

It looks absolutley perfect to me. Amazing.
And your moon shot yesterday was spectacular as well.

Is this taken in the Basillica? Wherever it is, its an amazing photograph, however you did it. I can almost hear the echo in there.
Really like the new top of the page banner. Is that downtown St.Paul? (Still learning much about my city.)

How come me and Dusty’s little logo things next to our names are so dorky?

You know I was kinda wondering about that too. Where is your gravatar or avatar registered? gravatar.com, blogger? Are you using the same email you have at blogger when you post here? I turned them off for the time being.
