First Model Shoot
Jun.14, 2008
I went on a model shoot for the first time, down at Centenial Lakes Park. Neither the organizer nor the two models scheduled showed up. I guess models are notorious for not showing up. Not sure I blame them for $20/hr. The organizer must have had a good reason for not being there.
Didn’t matter much though. We found an elderly couple willing to pose for us on a bench, and a family in another setting. Better yet, one of the photographer’s wife is an amateur model, and she kindly posed for us for almost an hour. Got lots of shots of her. I particularly like this one. Lovely.
Only fly on the ointment was a pushy power walker that shoved me from behind. Don’t think he’s fond of photographers.

Beautiful! I shy away from portriat photography; I really don’t have the talent for it.
Pushy power walkers at Centennial Lakes; goes with the territory.

Hehe, I don’t really have any talent either other than taking a lot of shots and being able to spot the good ones. I’m hoping to learn just a bit from the more seasoned photographers.
The power walker seemed like he was trying to pick a fight, but probably sensed that german anger starting to bubble in my eyes and decided to move on when I told him to :)
